Strikke
Branding, textile design, & photography
Project information
Strikke is a clothing and branding project exploring the relationship between textile design, visual identity, and sustainable production. Meaning “to knit” in Norwegian, Strikke is a collection of handmade knitwear accompanied by a brand identity developed through photography, typography, logo design, and website design.
The visual identity reflects both the slow, natural process of creating the garments and their playful, unconventional character. Each piece was hand-dyed and knitted using avocado, rust water, onion skins, tree bark, and flowers. These processes informed the brand's color palette, typography, and art direction. The logo and type selection reference the structure of knitting, while the website uses minimal layouts and product photography to highlight the textures, details, and materials of each piece. These elements create a visual language that communicates the collection's character and craftsmanship.
